Instagram fonts guide
Noor Vale · August 20, 2026 · Updated August 28, 2026
Instagram will usually show mathematical bold, script, and fullwidth letters in a bio or caption. That is not Instagram installing a font. It is Instagram drawing characters that already exist.
Where styles fail
Hashtags, some search fields, and a few older Android WebViews replace unknown glyphs with boxes. Very long combining sequences (heavy “glitch” text) can clip in the bio.
A practical recipe
Keep the name readable. Put decoration on a second line. Preview on both a phone and a desktop browser before you publish.
